Default 22 April Trading

It was quick start today.
I was being brave and let it trade on 3 pairs. EurGbp, EurChf and GbpChf
It could be a mistake. Took out trades in all 3 of them.

All four pairs were quite volatile today. If things don't settle down in the next hour, I'll be taking the night off.

Have all 4 pairs live, BUT with the following:

eur/gbp - only short
eur/chg - long & short
gbp/chf - only long
usd/cad - only long

One trade open at the mo' - short eur/gbp at .8979 at 21:18 GMT

Hi Chaps,

As normal I only have the eur/chf and eur/gbp trading.

It's been a quiet few weeks with not many trades going and this has made me wonder about something. Why do we need to change the GMT offset to 2 instead of 1? Yes, we have entered British Summer Time (or DST), but the market times have changed in step with this. Therefore the 'dead zone' time, which is really what fapturbo exploits is still the same, between 9pm and 1pm (BST). At the moment we're trading between 10pm and 2pm (BST) which is entering into the Asian session a bit too much for my liking.

Has anyone else wondered about this?

There seems to be less movement than before.
A trade opens and then stays open for a long time.
It does not go very far minus but not into profit either.
Mine is currently sitting at - 2.1 pips,
It has bouncing between 0 and -6 pips since the trade opened.

Yes, but I also assumed we were supposed to keep it sync'd with GMT time, regardless of our local time zone, and use the MarketWatch time on MT4 as our starting point. But I'm with you - I think starting and ending an hour early at this point would yield better results.

Still have one trade hanging, but hoping to close it for a profit. Otherwise, quite pleased with things tonight. I got at least one trade in each pair on my 3rd acct that's limping back to break-even.

Left the eurgbp alone this week cos it's oscillating in between the spread and takes for ever to close a trade. eurchf looked OK and FT made a nice trade on it last night (CET). Must be a spring holiday somewhere or something. Slow week for FT.

According to this site http://fxtrade.oanda.com/resources/fxmarkethours/ if you start an hour earlier you will actually be starting an hour before the Australian market opens. I'm not saying you won't have success, I'm just saying that's not my understanding of what fap turbo was designed for. If any FAP Turbo experts could enlighten us further I think it would be useful....

I've been wondering about this as well. It seems sensible only to alter the start time when there is a difference between UK/Europe, US and Asian market times. Europe and UK change their clocks on 29 March, US on the second Sunday of March (March 8th) and Japan does not adust their clocks.

So maybe GMToffset should not be adjusted but fapturbo hours should be changed to:
start 20, end 1 from March 8 to March 29
start 21, end 2 from March 29 until BST ends.

Jilly, have you noticed any difference in spread between the classic and micro accounts for Alpari EURCHF?

I was getting 5 last night using classic whereas donnaforex looked like she was getting 3 (I don't know which account type she uses).
