My short eurchf trade from last night just closed out about 30 minutes ago for a 50 pip loss at 1.50786, 2 pips or so above the hi of the day so far. My live FAPT performance is like night and day with my demo acct that had the same LRR settings. I am trading all 4 crosses LRR eurgbp 25 eurchf 12.5 gbpchf 20 usdcad 10. I remember reading a post, cant remember if it was on here or on the FAP member forum about how price action with the demo accts at Alpari UK differed with what they allowed to go through to the live accounts. Essentially price action is smoothed for the live accts so that scalping opportunities are fewer on a live acct. Anyway FAPT has savaged about 50 percent of my equity in the last 4 days however I will soldier on and see how it plays out. I imagine there will be a lot of users switching off now and perhaps that will improve the opportunities for those of us that stay.

I'm officially off. FAP was designed to trade in the quiet, non-trending, range-bound night sessions. FAP's failure the past couple months has nothing to do with version changes, and everything to do with increased volatility during the overnight session. Until, and IF the overnight session quiets down again, it will not be profitable. I'm keeping the EA tucked away for possible later use, but as of now, it's off for me.

Maybe you are right, but I also do not think they test all the changes they have made. At least not long enough. And they don't tell us all the changes that they make. We never know what we are going to get, and we have no choice of staying with the old version or moving up. We have to accept what they say.
And I'm off fapturbo too, I'm getting my money back for the second copy I have, the other copy I've had too long.
Oh well, at least I'm getting the expensive one back.

that's a good point, Schindawg.
but somehow megadroid which also trades during asian session only is up 26% since April, 4th (all 10 trades were wins so far.)

FAP has only been good for me thus far on EUR/CHF. It only hit the stop loss once in 2 months and 1 month it did not hit at all. As for EUR/GBP, well I'm not going to play with that one anymore.

Presumably Megadroid has different logic. In addition, it trades only EUR/USD which has by far the most liquidity of any currency pair, and thus the tightest spreads even during the Asian session. Kudos to them for their software. I'm running it live as well. Also doing more manual trading and liking that even better. Back to my roots as a futures trader....

yeah, that's right - liquidity and spread are better for eurusd. but as you mentioned before last losses for fapturbo were not due to spreads or liquidity, but because of trends during asian session.

Craig,
AFAIK you can stay with the older version when a new is released,
All you need to do then is keep the *.ex4 and then replace the *.dll
Although to me at least it appears there is no change in when v36/44pro places trades compared to when v37/45pro places them
