Default 28th January trades

28th- 29th January 2009

An hour ago the US released its FOMC Statement (Federal Open Market Committee Rate) which has had the most impact (predictably) on USDCAD. This pair should most definitely be avoided tonight- price is still making rapid moves as i type.

EURGBP
Trending downwards today. Price moving in a 60 pip range. I am a bit concerned about the 60 pip move which occurred across one bar just an hour ago- this was due to the news announcement but the market appears to have absorbed the news by this point, is settling and should settle further by the time fapturbo trading starts. We must remain very cautious if choosing to trade this pair.
Recommendation: conservative trading or avoid trading

EURCHF
In an uptrend today. Current price range is larger than the stoploss on this pair- giving us a high chance of hitting the stoploss if we were to trade.
Recommendation: avoid trading

GBPCHF
This pair is also in an uptrend and showing no signs of slowing up for the night- bad for fapturbo. Current range is almost 100 pips which is too high for trading.
Recommendation: avoid trading

USDCAD
This pair was the most effected by the news announcement an hour ago. Price moving in a 120 pip range (and rising) which is way too high for trading and it doesn't look to be settling down either.
Recommendation: avoid trading

Just wanted to say-- a few minutes after i left the market sentiment EURGBP price started skyrocketing and i have added an edit to the market sentiment to reflect this-- "AVOID trading"!

Sorry it's a no-go day again guys-- the markets are looking more characteristic of the London open than the start of the asian session!

Thanks, Donna. I saw that "skyrocketing" too on EURGBP. I won't be trading tonight.

It's a fact that I'm on demo, but as I want to give the FAPT as good conditions as possible and don't want to risk my imaginary bucks, I'll leave the market alone for tonight.

See you tomorrow!

Yep ! Definitely looks like a no trade day.
Early night for me, this FAPT loses me sleep.

See you all tomorrow.

I have just been over on the fapturbo site to have a look around and found that the trading sentiment for today had 37000 views and climbing as I write this - so this is an indication that there are some people out there.

Out of curiosity I wonder how many people have purchased fapturbo......

There's too many days where " avoid trading " is the sentiment. I thought this scalper was successful through market turmoil. ? Isn't that what the sentiment was back in November / early December ?
