IBFX spreads have started to come down from 20 points to 10 points... hopefully they will continue to drop. If they do we may see some trades.

From what I understand, it is all about GMT time, so if your Market Watch says 00:00 and it isn't Friday at GMT, it should trade.

Where do you find out the spreads and if they come down or not?

Thx

I tried leaving FAPT on last week at this time and it never took a single trade. I don't think it trades on Mondays early hours- i read somewhere on their website something about the markets being a bit unstable after the weekend so no trading???

It will not trade when the markets are unstable at any time. Market stability is directly reflected in the PIP spread. The higher the spread, the more volitile the market. During news days, the spreads also widen.

The PIP spread is the difference between the buy and the sell price. In MT4 you can see this in the Market Watch Section.

Right now, I see:
EURGBP Bid 0.8955 Ask 0.8964
Thus the PIP spread is now at 9

FAPT will not trade higher than 5.

no, they are at about 3 right now. Did you mistakenly count the 5th decimal?

Is your Scalper trading right now? Mine is not. No trade at all.

nope, I may be incorrect. I guess they are hedging their bets on both Sunday and Fridays.

No trades here at all, running all four pairs live (scalper only of course).

This is incorrect. It actually can trade 5 days but it’s not recommended, this is how it breaks down

Short Term Scalper

Monday (Night) to Tuesday (Morning)
Tuesday (Night) to Wednesday (Morning)
Wednesday (Night) to Thursday (Morning)
Thursday (Night) to Friday (Morning)

The above is 4 days / nights trading. The 5th day / night can come if you trade from 21.00 on Friday night, the broker closes at 22.00 and leave your positions open until it starts again on Sunday Evening at 22:00

For example I traded last Friday from 21.00 until close at 22.00 I had 1 hour for trades to open make a profit and close. Well after lots of flying by the seat of my arse and manually closing trades before close I made a small profit .I will never be doing that again as it is to risky (But fun, if I am honest)

All times above are based on UK time (GMT)

I don't know for sure, but I suspect the reason it does not trade on opening after the weekend (sunday or monday depending on where you are) is because it does not have enough history data to make it analysis on.
Due to no trading on the weekends. By the time it has enough data, it is near the end of its scalping time. What might happen is you will see trades show up on that first day, but they will be for the first hour at 23:00 monday (GMT)
So is everyone completely confused now?
