I am currently using FXDD, it has EURCHF spread 4, but USDCAD and EURGBP spread 5.
the EURCHF is still usable.
are there any better brokers?
I need a broker with lower spread so I could make more profit.

Seems that everyone is all over the place at the moment mate. Just wait until January and things should get a little back to normal.

I just saw on FXDD's website, it says the spread for EURGBP = 5.
they might changed their spread for good.

This thread should be resurrected now. FXPro is dicking us around and I don't think it's it much fun having one pair to trade (possibly 2 if a spread on eurchf of 7 is acceptable) :(

I could be wrong but some forums were saying investechfx is a scam.

Well, I have a live IBFX account and it doesn't trade for sh*t because of spreads. I'm lucky if it pops off 1 trade a day. I can't get rich making or losing $4.00 day.

I have accounts on InterbankFX, Alpari-us, FXDD and FXpro. Getting the best results every get on Alpari-us. This week I got about 160 pips on Alpari, 80 pips on FXDD, 65 pips on FXpro and lost money on InterbankFX. I am planning to ditch my account on InterbankFX since the spread are so awful. Last week I got 100 pips on Alpari, 60 FXDD, 30 on FXPro and 25 on interbankfx. The only pair I am not trading is USDCAD

Same here. If spreads don't improve I'm going to look elsewhere...bye bye IBFX.
I was lucky to get two trades today - both winners, but I missed so many compared to demo. The ironic thing is that on demo IBFX it trades quite nicely but live is another story.

Anyone know anything about MB Trading. I went to their site, they show MT4 demo account but didn't say anything about live. I noticed they said they weren't taking any more beta applications.
Check this out:

Hopefully soon they go live :)

Why does no one seem to discuss I-Trade, they have an MT4 offering, has anyone used them?
I had a regular account with them and they seemed to be good, not sure how they will be with this EA. Hopefully its not an IBFX sequel.

Great post :) Thanks for the detail!
Can I ask you pros: What is it that distinguishes a good [FAP] broker from a bad one?
Looking at the scalping option (long term doesn't seem to be worth it ATM) is the only distinguishing feature the size of the spreads during FAPs scalping time, those four hours or what not?
Or is there more to finding a good FAP broker too?
I guess using a 'bucket broker' wouldn't work either - not that I ever would.
Thanks for your posts :)
Dave
I think the biggest thing with Fapturbo (scalper) is the spread. I'd stay away from IBFX at the moment as the spread is awful (the the previous poster says).
Also look into ECN brokers with MT4 support.

My husband has had an account with FXCM for some time now and has been trading with another ea. He's been quite happy with their spreads and support service with questions while trading. I told him about "The Aslan Group" and their bonus checks that you get each month just for trading and he thought about it and eventually decided to join them.
I was trading Fapturbo on our 2 FXDD accounts but had to look for another broker because the spreads were too high to allow Fapturbo to play... It took me about a month and a half (I was researching a lot of brokers!) to finally upgrade our regular FXCM account to the referring broker and open another new account with them.
Soooo, the spreads are nice (although they do float, as low as 1.2 pips), the bonus checks are nice, FXCM Support is also readily available, so I'd recommend FXCM with the referring broker "The Aslan Group" to anyone who asks. Start up for a new account is only $1,000 USD!
cd :)
lol cd1963 you're starting to trigger my metal spam filters...I would even bet that the Aslan Group is your own IB name.

Alan,
I'm just a very happy customer with FXCM... I suffered a long, long time with FXDD...
I edited my previous post so it's not so repetitious, my apologies... Only offering my testimonial about my experience with them, that's all..
cd :)
Ok, gotcha :) Welcome to the forum. Sorry if I seemed "all up your face" there...
I too have an FXCM live account. What I like best is the TradeStation II platform - very slick in my opinion.

PS - I'm from the other Fapturbo.com site under this id also; Colleen here; Richard doesn't want to share FXCM with anyone, but I know we looked long and far for a good broker and we're extremely happy now; I would have introduced myself in the other thread for introductions, but I'm a bit shy... :o

I have FXCM MT4 platform, no problems. Very pleased.
Folks just make sure you keep in mind that FXCM's MT4 platform features a DEALING DESK, so there is a potential conflict of interest there.

Alan, they said no dealing desk with standard accts.
Right..I forgot about this...here is an excerpt from their mt4 page:
"* Please note FXCM Micro in its discretion may or may not offset individual transactions unlike transactions in most FXCM Standard accounts."

Anyone sign up for a FXCM account through TradersChoiceFX.com? How is your live trading experience?
TradersChoiceFX gives you a rebate back for your trades.
I was wondering if by signing up through them (intro Broker) if I would be paying for it in some way like in the spread?
I have asked them a few times on the phone and chat and they swear to me each time that I will be getting the same MT4 spreads as if I signed up directly through FXCM no difference at all. They did ask me to go through them first for support calls.
I Need another broker with lower spreads, my AlpariUS account just moved their EURGBP spread from 5 to 6 and EURCHF from 3 to 5 in the Asian session. I called them and they said its permanent for now and can't do anything for me. So I need another (better) broker to replace them!
I have narrowed my choice down to FXCM and just need to pull the trigger.
Thanks everyone Great POSTS!

Well, I'm not geeked up about FCXMs spreads either. I think they are still manipulating the spreads before any of their IBs get them. They are no different than any other broker. They make the spreads varible to fake a ECN enviroment so they will fuck you. A real ECN a spread is no more than a pip in any pair at all times (and most of the time no spread)...so, someone is pulling the trigger before us. I am waiting for MB trading to go live. This will be the best transparency of the real market we will get short of a MT4 currenex account (which will never happen...maybe a bridge at best).

...its obvious they don't want people developing EAs to beat them. They are one big smoke screen.

Thanks Limitup.
I so want an MT4 MBT account too! Been demo'ing them for almost 2 months now! I love their support and have a great feeling about them. Their MT4 trades wonderfully with my EA's. I had some hiccups with a few trades earlier on with their weekend reboots and stuck trade issues. I think that is all past them now and they are running smooth. Unfortunately every time I ask them when them are going live all I get is soon! I read a few posts here and there lately and they say soon too.
I definitely want to get rid of the my bulk brokers. I know they pull games I see it all the time and pay for it a little here and there all the time. I figure I get down to one good bucket shop maybe FXCM and my other account with MBT when they go live.
CollectiveFX sound nice but scares me also. I have been demoing them too, just to check them out. Don't think I want to risk it with them and will definitely wait for MBT.
Thanks again!

A real ECN a spread is no more than a pip in any pair at all times (and most of the time no spread)...if this is true, then maybe MBT is not a real ECN as their spread is 1 pip only on EURUSD during Asian session:

Don't you remember when I said only currenex is the only true ECN (Electronic Currency Network)...but, MBTs the next best thing... just last night the spread in the euro/pound was 1.6 at MBT and has hardly changed (even Asian session)... and at ATC (FXCM) it was 5 on a so called ECN. ATC was going to let me open account...but, since the last couple of days, the spreads have sucked...and FXCM last week claiming network problems outside of their control. Now they are probably claiming liquidity issues (utter bullshit!!!). They should went to jail in 99 and now its no different. I'm sure many of MBT providers are not much different than FXCM. Currently the ATC demo makes me feel like Frankenstein...with springs flying out every 5 min..MBT demo rarely disconnects. Since, FXCM does not give demo MT4 demo accounts, the one must assume that ATC feed is coming from their live server...what dose that tell you:rolleyes: Get a currenex account and see how tight the spreads are (if there are any).

I just gave you the reason...the spreads are still being manipulated with any given pair at their leisure. A real currenex account has no broker...but, the very min account size is 100K U.S. And for brokers to sell it as a true ECN is absolute bullshit. If anything, it gives them a more of an opportunity to fuck with the trader. Hell, you can better spreads and less commissons with the futures...and the futures trade only 60 Billion a day.

that's why an MT4 broker is neccessity to bridge MT4 and LP or ECN and to allow smaller accounts/lots. and there is nothing wrong that they want to be paid for that (via spreads or commissions.) as nothing is no free here.
manipulating and cheating is a different story though

Lots of choices but slim pickin's out there!
MBTrading is my number #1 choice right now but who knows when they will go live. Hopefully very soon!
If you have some serious cash 20-25k+ you might be able to swing an institutional or pro account with one of the big brokers with lower spread or comm. Fastbrokersfx.com and PFGbest.com FXCM "Active trader" are some others on my radar. I believe Schindawg is using the first two and has pretty good results. He takes some big hits too and keep on chuggin. Great Job Schindawg, you have some big kahuna's!
Good luck,

hmm i am not sure if MB will be good for FPT. I saw there are sometimes high spreads as well as on ATC. But i have not checked the last few weeks and also missed the MB betatester.
Are there any news? Anyone had a chance to the last few days?
Alternatively, Any other good broker available in the meantime, maybe with fixed low spread?
thanks
