Hello

Is any using Fabturbo & Robominer/GT-shadow together?

I'll be forward test these two together and maybe they might offset each others drawdowns.... :D

-Fabturbo scalp & Long term (eagles settings)
-Robominer (default settings)

I hadn't actually heard of Robominer before but it looks kinda scarey. It reminds me of another EA called ForexRobotTrader which had a similar strategy: keep hanging onto to those trades for dear life until they make a profit.

What happens if there's a major reversal in trend. Do they stop out before causing a margin call? Even with the relative safety of EURCHF and AUDNZD there have been times when you could have to wait a few years before the trades come back into profit.

One good thing in their favour is that you can download it to test on your demo account for free. You only pay when you want to trade live.

Also, when you sign up it gives you a little insight into their strategy which is basically grid trading. This makes more sense as to the leaving of losing trades open for so long, well a little more sense.

Still I might see how it does. There are a few bad times where I'm interested to see how long it keep the losing trades open for.

Yes, I'd seen that. Also, I read the author's essay on why it works. I'm still not 100% convinced though. I'm sure there are going to be conditions where you get these fatal hanging trades. I guess I'll have to experiment with some decent test data and see how it fairs over some rough spots.
