Auto Scalper

I put the free auto scalper that most of us received in an email from Martin Alexander into play this morning and it just made a SHORT trade for 15 PIPs.

Acceptable, especially if it continues...

Hey Edward -
I also set up auto-scalper to test it and didn't change any of the settings.
Since January 7th it made 3 trades:
1. +70 pips
2. -5 pips
3. +19 pips

I was most impressed to see the software take itself out of the trade so quickly on what it deemed a loser instead of having a huge drawdown or big loss.

I changed the risk level to 2, as that is the rule of thumb that you read on any kind of trading site, whether it is FOREX, futures or even blackjack.

silly question from a newbie...
This auto scalper, do I leave it running together with the FAP?
And is it better, I add it? Does it have any effect, that I wouldn't get without it?

IMO, there are no silly questions. If you follow the directions and put it on a seperate EURUSD H1 chart with the kind of TradeNote and Reference inputs he suggests, there shouldn't be any interference.

I have tried these on a demo and I find that Fapturbo does not seem to trade when Project Ea is attached to multiple pairs and trading.

Have you had any issues with this?

No trouble, all of them trade, gets abit confusing occasionally. I have to figure out which EA opened a trade.

U are still using that scalper? I read on FAPT forum that people got their credit card compromised, and some1 found some script in EA which is using kernel32 and else...dont remember what. Iam just saying, be careful. :(

Is it even possible to do that within metatrader mq4 code? I highly doubt this since the scripting actions are confined to the mt4 terminal.

Very unlikely, and also at no point did anybody connected with auto scalper ask for any financial information whatever from me.

Well I know that EAs can definitely communicate to the outside world via TCP/IP but in order for it to steal your CC information it would have to somehow interact with your web browser or install some resident program (ie spyware) which I don't think is possible with MQL4 (coding language EAs are written in)

I've only had the darn thing do 4 VERY small trades. For a scalper it's just not doing that much!

Well Pullice, I've searched google far and wide for any mention of mt4 expert advisors used as spyware or malware and found nothing so far.

Perhaps someone who has the tools to decompile the EA can find out what it really does. This may of course be unethical but it's the only way to know for sure.

Just remember to have proper computer security in place. Use a secure web browser like firefox, setup anti-spyware software, setup maybe spybot or some software that monitors registry changes. You know common security practices. I believe failure on this front is responsible for people getting their credit cards stolen not necessarily rogue EAs.

I think I'm done with Auto Scalper.
Yesterday and today it had lost 25% on my demo account, placing two EURUSD buy trades right before opening of NY session, and losing all on full stop loss (not exiting early). -$768 twice in 24 hours, too much.

Hey Alan and everyone else. I have scoured the internet and can't find anything at all about FAPT/Metetrader 4 stealing your CC info. Just like Alan said, make sure you have a good firewall and spyware protectors. I like Ad-ware.com, it's free and works really damn good.
