Newbie Doing Investigating

I am doing research on what do with the next batch of cash (1.5k) I plan to invest, and I am intrigued by Forex trading.

I haven't bought FapTurbo, but definitely looking into it. But I don't want to purchase until I have done my full homework and understand what I am doing with the broker selection and setup. It looks like there are a number waiting for ATC..... With the dollar amount to start with, does anyone know the positives and negatives are in going with Activtrades? Or would you suggest something else and why?

Are most newbies set up on a server or just run it from their own computer and keep it on all the time?

Once I decide all of that, then it will be time to research the settings of FapTurbo. Thanks for your help and input as it is great to get feedback from experienced traders.

A lot of people are waiting for MBtrading to open their mt4 platform to the ECN. this is a straight trough connection to the banks without the middleman getting in the way. I personally use FXDD. I have no experience with activtrades so I cannot comment. Google "activetrades reviews" and see what you come up with.

As for gaining experience there is a group of people that trade here 4 nights a week. Monday night through thursday night from 4 to 9 pm est. they would be happy to share their settings.

If you can try out FAPturbo and keep your computer on while it trades. If you like it you can upgrade to a virtual desktop later.

as for the long term turbo settings a lot of people do not use the long term strategy . More people use the original FAP system though. I have found that the long term strategy used with some of the original settings works well. As a matter of fact I am going to start experimenting with settings from FAP on Fapturbo soon so stay tuned.

Thank you very much Eagle... MBtrading.com seems to indicate that they already have the ECN setup... what is the status with that? ActivTrades doesn't accept American citizens

Well, unless anyone knows the answer already, I will try and contact both MBtrading and ATC Brokers to get timetable information on them. I would rather try and find one place where I can stay so I would prefer to find an ECN broker with MT4. I am just not sure how long that wait wil be though.

Mike, what is your recommendation for a broker? I will probably start with between 1-2k

If ATC demo is based on the ECN, I wonder why the spread is the same as a dealer desk.. sorry, I am just a newbie so I am learning

I have read about FXDD, FxPro, and IBFX, and although some are doing alright with these, the spreads seem to be an issue. Thus, I am trying to figure out if it is worth waiting on one of the others... anyone demo MBTrading with FapTurbo and MT4 on the ECN? what are your thoughts on the spreads?

Ok, I got a demo with MBTrading, and got my activation key, etc. However, when I put FapTurbo in the chart, I am getting an unhappy face instead of the smiley face... is there something else I need to do to get it working properly? I know that MB has slight to their Metatrader and needs adjustments so I am assuming I have to make some sort of tweak with something to make it good to go.

I figured I can also be more cautious and take these 6 weeks or so before it goes live to educate myself and do demo testing and get a good feel rather than rush in too quickly and be in over my head. I thank you guys, and look forward to shared success with all.
