Haven't read anything horrendously bad about these guys and they're giving a nice bonus on deposits at the mo so giving them a try.
Anybody else already with this outfit or planning to go there?

Harre, I am currently looking for another broker and checked this one. For me it looks like fishy. I registered for a live account, and they did not ask anything but my name, email, country and phone. They did not want to know my address, they did not asked for any government issued document like the other brokers I contacted. It is too easy. Easier than registering a live account in any online poker site.
Then I wanted to download their MT4 client but did not find it. The support told me that I have to deposit money first, and after this I will be able to download it. It means that I am unable to check they real live spread during FAPT hours.
Do you have any experience with StartForex? Did you try withdraw money from them?

I have never been asked for any government issued documents by any broker I've contacted... Some kind of ID and proof of address is normally enough to set up an account, and photocopy or scan of the credit/debit card used to deposit funds. That's what startforex asked for and until they got the scan of both sides of my card they refused to take any money from me so I didn't find them "too easy".
No, I haven't withdrawn any cash yet but not too worried about it. As far as I can tell they're as legit as any other retail broker.
What I can say is that their spreads have gone up sharply since I joined them, probably to pay for the hefty bonuses they advertise right now. The Euro pairs used to be 3 and 3 but now trade with spreads of 5 and 6 :-( I wouldn't have joined them with spreads like that and you might want to shop around a bit more.
