I am pretty stoked to see that i am the only non-admin to say hello so far! So, my name is Andrew, and i have always WANTED to get involved in forex trading, but really had no knowledge whatsoever, which leads to fear... When i started research FAPS, i figured i would give it a shot. I still know next to nothing about forex trading, but i am learning. I have been running the demo account since yesterday, and i made 800 bucks while sleeping! Since then, i started fooling around with my own trading, and messed things up pretty bad. 17k bad... haha... so i am going to be looking for a lot of help, and i am glad you guys know a bunch about faps. I would have joing fapwinner.com but i am pretty poor. This will definitely do. So i hope to be really involved in this forum! thanks

Andrew

Welcome on board!

Yep, the forum just got launched in the last 3 days or so. You are embarking on what could be a very lucrative journey - forex that is. If done right and with skill it can truly be a ticket to financial freedom. The learning curve can be a bit speed at times, but I encourage you to hang in there, and don't give up. Even if you only want to use trading robots, I would still recommend you build for yourself a solid education in the nuts and bolts of forex trading.

Don't be afraid to experiment and to play around with things, just remember to do it on a demo account :p Forex is not something gamblers and "adrenaline junkies" should engage in :)

As for help, sure, don't feel shy to ask questions. I am perfectly willing to share whatever knowledge I have. I may not know it all, but I'll do my best to help with what I can. I am one who believes that good things can come when people collaborate and share ideas.

A for fap-winner, I'm not too sure about that one. I don't own it so I can't really comment upon it. I think the majority of the contents of the trading plan offered by that website is just trading common sense and good money management. There is no magic formula and I doubt that fap-winner is selling you something that you can't discover on your own. Let's take the custom setting for example. With some rudimentary backtesting skills you too can find custom settings. With a bit of research and reading you too can implement a solid money management system. Heck there are tons of them out there available for free.

lol, well, just looking at the price of the package I can definitely see that it's definitely not cheap.

Also don't worry about being poor, that's really no impediment for those who are really driven to succeed.

I look forward to your participation in this forum.

Cheers, and happy trading!

I would have joing fapwinner.com but i am pretty poor.

"Poor is a state of mind, broke is temporary". We have the ability to change our state of mind. I'm sure you'll succeed.

Best Wishes, loriG

I second that reply LoriG. I think a great deal fo the time our state of mind (our "paradigm" - world view) is what limits us. Many things in life are not hard to achieve from a technical or a practical point of view, but hard for some people due to the mental blocks or lack proper mental orientation.

As the cliche goes, change yourself and the rest will follow :)

Kia ora,

Which means 'hello' in our native tounge (maori) from New Zealand. Looks like I am lucky number 14 to this awesome looking site. I clicked the link from your moneyG site, which has some really good threads. You are very experienced with FAPS and I hope to learn alot from you and your members.
I purchased FAPS about a week ago, I am very new to the fx business. I have always been drawn towards the currency exchange, and find it extremely powerful when watching day to day changes in currency around the world.
My interpretation of a currency trader is of a person in a suit and tie working in a 30 level office block (I know it sounds stupid) but, l find it unrealistic that as soon as I downloaded a demo account, I indeed became a currency trader like you all, just sitting around in my boardshorts cruising at home with my family.
The first week with FAPS was very interesting, 16/08/08-20/08/08 I opened a $1500 demo didn't change any settings let it run day and night for 3 and half days the bot continued to make profit trade after trade, from memory I think it ended up on $5898.00, I set it on euro/usd, nzd/usd, aus/nzd , and it made profit trades on all. I also set NFP and UltraTrend on some of the graphs at different times(don't ask why or what because I can't tell you, I was just simply mucking around with everything).
I know I have no experience at all with fx, but feel that this program/software has something to offer us all. I am really keen to learn more about how this works and about fx.
At current new demo account is set at $1500 again only set I have changed is lot at 0.5. Will update soon. Haere ra or goodbye. clintnzd

Hi ClintNZD and welcome to our little forum (little for now)! I hope you find your stay here enjoyable and that you'll pickup a few useful tidbits of knowledge.

Be carefull there! Do not overleverage your account (which in your case is somewhat small for so many pairs) by trading too many currency pairs at once. FAP has a tendency to get itself into big drawdowns and you won't be able to weather them if you have so many open positions. If these open positions go against you they'll eat away into your account's margin and you just may end up with a margin call - which translates into "no more money" - aka "you lose it all"

Hmm ok, I think this advice is a bit outside the scope of the "introduce yourself" thread so I invite you to ask your questions in the FAP specific forums :)
