Hi Guys
I've started a few days ago trading live with fap. i have a mini account with IBFX ( 1:200 ) with a 1000$ capital.

First 've played a little bit with the settings, now I'm quite satisfied with the following settings:

Trading on eurusd and usdchf. both m5 time frame.

settings for both charts:

Lots: 0
LRR: 1
Maxorders: 2
Maxlots: 100
Stop time: 1
aaa: 20
bbb: 8
Take Profit: 20
Stop Loss: 300
Trailing Stop: 15
rest default

My free margin is always at least 2000%

There's no need to have more than one trade per currency so I'd change Maxorders=1 and LRR=2. The risk is exactly the same 2% (1 x 2) and you've only got one trade to babysit. I'd also consider trading only 1 currency EUR/USD as it has a higher volume and you're capital is so low. You've got an 18% increase this week so protect yourself...slow and steady wins the race.

I'm not sure about the TS=15, have you back tested this? I'm in favor of having a SL in place to protect from catastrophic meltdowns.

Other than that, we've found that those settings are pretty much the money makers (w/o the TS).

Since the result look promising for now why not just stick to it.
Just a question. The aaa:20 and bbb:8 is not default setting right? I will try your setting and see how it goes next week. I think the increase of 18% in your account within 3 days is fantastic!!!

I like the aaa & bbb settings:D
I like the fact that you are taking advantage off the autolots

but I wouldn't bother with the hedging using usdchf wasting time IMHO
I'd forget about more than 1 Trade just bump your LRR to 5% you can go as hish as 10% you'll make more money
kill the stoploss before it kills you
let the TS die with it

you can optimize brother... my same 7 hundred dollar account went up 1175. in the same time period.

i'll try the maxorders 1 and the LRR 2 setting today. I try to post my results every day.

but why do you guys think i should stay with eurusd only?
i've noticed that there were times when i had 2 eurusd orders which took a long time till they hit my 20 takeprofit while the usdchf made some profitable trades and viceversa. isn't that better than trade with eurusd only and wait maybe a whole day till the order becomes profitable and miss many other good trades?

and also with the Stoploss setting: if i have no stoploss the trades could be open for days and weeks while i miss many many profitable orders, or not?

test your setting with 2 trades and see for yourself...

one step at a time...more is less...and less is more test if for yourself don't listen to what I have to say

Just wondering the setting aaa:20 bbb:8 is applyable to 1m time frame? or only 5mins?

well the results i get on the 5min timeframe are better than the 1 timeframe for me.. with the 1min frame i had some big drawdowns on my demo accounts.. with the 5min frame it works much better..

emmm. i think it will be less trade if using 5m time frame compare to 1m but produce higher probability and higher quality trade. I don't know why my platform can't perform backtest... :(

Ok if you want I can post the actual results,
But here is the general trend
In October I was going up nicely (then I got greedy)
Took a huge hit. (except if I would have left the trades they would have come back up)
Since then I've been much more conservative. I've let my trades run, even when they are open for too many days.
Most have come back up and took the profit. (I closed a couple)
I'm up about 44% since I took the huge drop (end of Oct)
But I'm still not up to my original investment.
I'm down to trading a single trade on EURUSD on M5
And I use Earl's aaa bbb settings
When I'm home I use LRR 3, but when I'm at work I use LRR 2 (just being cautious).
It is not going to make me a millionaire, but I think it will make me money in the long run.
