I am running AutoPilot on a ForexMeta Demo account
On Nov 4 it placed a Euro/Us sell order at 1.2625 Size 0.40 T/P 1.26205
AutoPilot stopped trading from that trade forward and the order is still in play.
Prior to this trade I had 7 all profitable = $800.00
Can someone kindly let me know if the setting are correct and what may be the cause.
Thanks
Les

I would turn your computer off and back on, make sure you reenter your key into FAP

You are only allowing one open trade at a time. The current trade you have that was opened on Nov 4 is all you will open until it is closed.
This is That Draw down you hear about. One of the reasons why multiple trading has become popular here.
You can be patient and wait for the trade to close
set your max orders to 2 to open one more trade
or manually close your open position and allow FAP to open another.

Thank you eagle
Changing the trades to 2 worked
I have two more question you may be able to help with
I would like to set a stop loss in AutoPilot, what setting would you suggest with the above set-up?
Would it be wise to set a Trailing Stop? If so what suggested settings
Thanks for you help

the settings are very personal and subject to how much risk you can take
For your account a consevative setting would be...
Lot size 0
LRR=1
TP=10
Max orders=2
This puts your account at 2% risk for your open trades Well whithin the suggested norms of consevative trading.
The lower Take Profit allows an easier exit for FAP since it has no exit strategy other than TP. In the long term I think this lower TP will beat the higher 20 tp default.
Max orders =2 allows you to continue trading if one goes into draw down. i WOULD NEVER ALLOW A MAXIMUM OF FOUR TRADES UNLESS YOU ARE FAMILIAR WITH HEDGING.
Stop time keep betweEn 5 and 10
This allows time between trades so that two trades arent clumped together.
MA=50
This setting is a trend filter. I find the 100 to lag to much behind the trend
I tested 21 but wasn't happy with it so I switched to fifty. This is nstill in testing though. 21 works ok.
Stop loss=0 Let the EA do the job. It has an internal stop loss. Use good money management (margin level >5000%) and this should be no probelm.
Trailing stop=0 No need for one with such a small TP
aaa and bbb
Forwardi testing 20 qnd 8 but Really see little effect on changing these. I have two demos going with same inputs except for aaa bbb just to see the differnece
This is subject to change and the user assumes all risk associated with these settings.

Thanks again
I will try these settings.
I guess I have a concern about trading without some kind of stop loss safety.
ie. If my computer of internet goes down or there is a large change in the market on a loosing trade. I would like to protect against a $1000.00 to $2000.00 loss or a disastrous liability.

i have done a lot of back testing with the trailing stop setting. i have a good result using a 5000 dollar starting after a year it is over 50000 dollars. i am still testing the ma eagle is right 21 is good but it is looking like 50 might be better.
