Hi Benalmador and welcome here. As I am just new myself I cannot really help you. However, I have been reading a lot all over this forum and there is very valuable information to find here.
I am now testdriving with these settings.
The settings I am about to show you are settings comming from Earl ( I believe) On my demo-account I am doing fine with these settings.
These settings where discussed somewhere else also. For all other more experienced members: please can you take a look at these settings and let me know if there is something you would say is NOT okay?
Thanks!
The settings:
Lots=0.00000000
LotsRiskReductor=3.00000000
MaxOrders=1
MaxLots=100

Hi Earl,
Thank you (again) for your help. These settings run very well on my demo-account until now.
I will try to find out what PeriodMA means because I am so new to all of this :D
Soon I hope to start with a live account (which was approved yesterday).
However I will keep your previous advice in mind and test more.

The PeriodMA setting is a trend filter.
it Takes the average number of bars of a timeframe.
so a 200 MA is the average of the last 200 bars.
I find settings between 20 nad 50 to be more qui8ck to pick ujp the trend direction. 200 lags way behind the trend.
try 21 instead.
If you put the 21 SMA and compare it to 50 , 100, and 200 you will see what i mean.

I am absolutely very happy with all the answers you all kindly provide to us newbies. I hope, one day I can be such help also to others :) I will change my PeriodMA as suggested :)
