No New Trades

Hello All

OK changed my settings to the recommended, lots 0, lrr 4, max orders 2, max lots 1, aaa 20, bbb, 8 no sl.

had 2 positive trades around 10pm last night and left my comp on all night and this morning and there was not any new trades made. Is this common with the EUR/USD M5? Does it only trade 2 or 3 times a day?

Do you just leave your comp all 24/7 during the week?

Sorry one last question, i am using demo account $5000, should i take this down to the $2000 that i will go live with?

Go live with what you can afford to lose...Remember 2 trades at 4% is 8% risk
Fap might trade 100 times a day... and it might trade 20 times a day. There is a good thread explaining the variables it uses to chart the market.. FAP seems to trade less on the m5 Chart, anybody else see this?

I was using the M1 chart and it hit like 10 trades a day, but when it hit a bad trade it was pretty bad. The M5 is looks like it trades a lot less and I am having a hard time backtesting this as it keeps bottoming out on me.
It will have like 16 goods trades in a row and then 1 bad trade that wipes out any profit and then some.
Do you think the M1 has the same % wins as the M5 but just gets there sooner?

If your computer is not running, it cannot open trades. If you have an open position and turn your computer off, that trade will run its coarse but no new trades will open unless your computer is on and running the EA. A lot of these EA's prefer that you run them on a dedicated PC and just leave them running 24/5. I shut mine down on weekends because you cannot trade on weekends.

Theoretically, they should be smarter trades. But don't quote me on that. Since FAPS uses technical indicators, they should be more accurate on the M5 chart. It does not seem to trade well above that. I have not been running on M5 long enough to notice the amount of trades. I now have a demo running M1 and live running M5. I will start watching that.

Don't change your live settings based on what I am saying. I am brand new to FAPS. It is just common knowledge that technicals reflect better on larger time frames than short ones.

These other fellows can give better advice but I thought I would chime in.
