What's trading like in December

Low volumes past Dec15th....

Our investment group never does well in december.....trading is light until jan 15...

anyone been through it???

I imagine ther will be some whipsaws associated with consumer confidence and holiday spending. tfis year doesn;t look good for the retail industry with unemployment reaching 7%. Projections are that it may reach 10%.

Europe is just as bad.

I believe this will cause mor e see saw action over the next two months.

However if its ranging and not too volatile we may have a decent month or two.

will just wait and see.

I like ranging markets as FAP does exceptionally well in such market conditions, as long as the range is not so wide as to hit SL's. The low volume does not help however as I believe FAPS works best with high volume and thus very liquid pairs. Still though the dip in volume will never be really low in the Forex market.

Does this mean that we should put Faps on hold through these periods?

That is worth discussion. On their website they showed only two trades for Dec. 2007. One was a loss. Market is a little different now but who knows.

Hmm, I wouldn't stop it no matter what. The Forex market is so huge that volume is still substainly high for our needs. Trading may be a bit more "jerky" but as long as price action moves we are good to go.
