Changes in the navigator, do not show

I have an issue with the input tab on the navigator: the changes I make are reflected on trades but those changes are not shown in the value settings. In the same vain, one change will reset all others changes back to the default. Metaquote has not been helpful in the regard.

hmm interesting...have you tried reinstalling MT4? Also did you make sure you have the latest version of MT4? I believe Build 217 is the latest.

Do I need to do anything special on the reinstall? Do I need to deinstall , first? I downloaded MT4 about 7 weeks ago.

Yes I would de install first then reinstall. The repair feature only works sometimes. Its best to just get the newest version when you are havign problems.

Go to control panel (or the start menu and find it there) and then to add/remove programs, find the MetaTrader installation (most likely branded so it would say the name of your broker first) and click the remove button.
