View Full Version : Has faps opened any trades for anyone today?

Just like the title says,
I have three different demo accounts open and faps has not opened or closed a single trade to for me today at all. Is this happening with anyone else today?
I just find it very odd???:confused:
My settings are (or should be) the same as yesterday.

I have to say that this is really wierd. FAPS has still not opened any trades at all yet. Just was asking other people if its doing the same thing to them. Or if its my faps that doesn't want to work.

It's been opening trades for me. You did check all the obvious stuff, right? Did you check your journal for possible errors? You'd be surprised how many people overlook this step.

The only thing in my journal that makes me wonder is this
"2008.09.26 01:12:29 Old tick USDJPY1 105.29000/105.32000"
But would that stop the trading on the other currencies?
I have checked all the settings that you're suppose to, all the ones that are on the set up directions.
Is there something that I am missing?

Hmm, what broker do you use? If you get a lot of these old tick data errors I suggest you consider switching to a better quality broker.
Although I don't think this would cause FAP to not work. I'm stumped so far, without some screenshots I can't really think of anything else that would prevent FAP from working.

Would it be possible that it may not be working because I have two different accounts running on my laptop and three different accounts running on the main computer? My laptop is running off of my router if that makes any difference.
Oh and by the way, FAPS has still not opened a trade since I posted about this!!
Should I just delete all demo brokers I'm using and delete the FAPS program and re-download it?

That doesn't make any sense..there must be something you're doing wrong. Press the "PrintScr" Or "printscreen" key on your keyboard. The open up MS Paint and go to Edit and then paste. Save the file as a jpeg file and post it here.
Post as many screenshots as you can and paste a screenshot of your settings and your Journal tab.

No it should not make any difference how many instances of FAP you're running or how many instances of MT4 you've got. You just can't be logged into the same MT4 account multiple times - this one should be an obvious one.

btw, do you a checkmark where it says "Allow DLL imports" in the properties of the EA?

Hi Mystik,
Just to let you know, I've been running the same pairs as you all day 08:00 GMT - to present.
Currently showing 24 trades so far today, with 6 currently open (demo account obviously).
So there must be something awry for your's not to have triggered any trades at all.
Much to my surprise FAP appears to have closed out a trade for a $-215 loss. Which is very odd. I checked to make sure it wasn't something I've done, as I've been away from my machine all afternoon. Could this be the much vaunted but thus far entirely elusive "advanced multiparameter FAP stopless system"??? Surely not.

Ok I just got an e-mail back from FAP's support and they say I need to activate my copy. Well I've already done that because I was working just fine about a week ago.
Please post a screenshot of your "Journal" tab as well. To activate your FAPS go to your members section and generate a new "key"..

Ah my bad, I overlooked that one. Everything looks fine to me except for one thing. It seems to me that you've got a standard account but your balance is atypical of a standard account - 500 is quite small! If one trade or two goes against you will get into a huge drawdown (relative to account size) and maybe even get a margin call.
Try the robot on a different platform. Download a demo account from IBFX and open a forex-mini account with $10,000 starting balance.

Ok just got back from a very long vacation in Las Vegas and my FAPS is still not working.
Where at in the members section do I go? Is the member section the web address they sent my after I bought it?

Im having trouble with starting trades on a second computer

Gatcha, thank you. I've got my max trades down to two. I'm still hedging EUR/USD and USD/CHF. Is this a good match up right now?
