Hi all,

I purchased FAP and looked at in a demo account and looks ok. I think that theres no point keep testing in a Demo or your never go live so I am going live with a small bank just to try it out. Can anyone give the best settings for such a small bank which won't blow me out :)

Thanks
Craig

Whatever you do don't manually set the lot size too high. I suggest you let FAPS determine the size of the lots by setting the "Lots" variable to "0"

As for the rest, some (like me for example) recommend using a "disaster" stop loss of 300 pips or above. There is also the aaa & bbb settings you can modify but to be honest I haven't had much time to play around with them so I suggest you browse around in this forum as others have done some excellent backtesting and come up with what to them seem more profitable aaa & bbb settings than the defaults.

I for one am using the defaults for now.

Thanks Alan,

I have just downloaded a PDF from this forum with some great settings. I will do what you recommend, also how long have you been using FAP and have you made much money?

Thanks
Craig

I've been using FAP ever since it was launched. As far as how much money I've made, well, I can't say that I've made a ridiculous amount of money but I did make a reasonable sum so far. I also lost a LOT with it, but managed to muster up the guts to stick with it. I can say that 90% of my losses were suffered with the old version of FAP. That thing kept on buying into the large downtrend and I'm sure you can imagine the results lol.

Thanks all,

Yeah to be honest Alan looking at the website and the results I just thought it be another crap product, but there seems to be a lot of people using it and making a bit. I will keep to the default settings with 0 lots so FAP does its money management. I would put a 300 pip stop loss but seeing its only $500 I just see how it goes. As for back testing I would say that counts for leaving the FAP running 24 hours correct? I am thinking running 24 hours until thurs then turn it off so it makes no trades on a Friday with all the big news.

Anyway thanks for your advice and I will post my results at the end of the Dec, lets hope it’s made a bit of cash:)lol
