I was able to test the NFP pilot today and got great results.
I netted 109 pips. I could n't tell if I netted any other pips because I have so many trades going right now. I believe it nipped off some 20 pips here and there also.
This Pilot can also be used on other news events.
I have Forex peace armies signals that helped me place the NFP.
I'm looking forward to using it again on more pairs.
It looks like it could be very profitable on strong news making runs.

I set the NFP on for the usd/cad pair. It did not execute the trade even though it filed the order. the move was only 20 pip for the news event. It has to move that much to trigger the first buy stop.
I have it set up on the aud/usd for the interest rate anouncement. this one is rated five stars so I hope that it gives a better movement.
I also change my lot size from .01 to . 02 so I could track its trades.

Ran NFP on Aud/usd pair for interest rate.

so far 1 of 2 on five star news.
109-36=73 pip net
I closed out the +109 manually. I forgot to tell everyone that.

I just saw it just now. I am wondering if the Forex Peace army's times are EST or GMT. I need to ask about that. If that is the case that needs to be clarified. I think That was the drop NFP was supposed to catch.
it worked when I used platform time for the NFP.
Or was this a special session from the RBA?
Now I remember. I use bloombergs caladar which is on GMT.
Need to bring this up at FPA.
Any chance of putting one here administrator?
I think it should be set to platform time like bloombergs.

Actually, Bloombergs isnt all that great. I dont remember what I used for the NFP but it worked fine.
Is there a calandar that you could input your local time zone to get the time in your area and then convert it to platform time.
My platform said the RBA announcement happened at 06:30 October 7
GMT says it happened 03:30 October 7
The clock on my wall says it happened at 23:30 October 6 EST
So I add 7 hours to my time )EST) which is forex peace army time to convert to platform time for NFP Pilot

I like to use the Forex Factory Calendar. I'll see if I can find a vbulletin plugin calendar. I'll get back to you on that one.
I think Forex Peace Army's calendar is EST (New York)

Platform went off line fore GBP statement yesterday so no trades executed from NFP pilot

Sigh...yeap...that's one of the things that sucks about using these bucketshop brokers. Had you traded with an ECN broker that would not have happened. Then again you wouldn't be able to use NFP Pilot on such brokers without some fancy footwork (it IS possible though)

NFP is tommorrow at 8:30 am EST.
I am set up on all the majors. looking to make some good money.
Last month I netted 109 pips on one pair.
NFP has a stop loss so you can set it and forget it.
Figure out your platform time versus your time zone and convert from there to get your NFP set up. remember to set the time five minutes before the event.
try on demo first on eur/usd to make sure you are set up correctly.

I checked out that calender and saw something for the 8th of this month that said there was a G20 meeting. What the heck is a G20 meeting?

How did you do today? I think I got the start and stop times wrong and I don't think it opened many trades if any at all. Oh well there's always next month.

NFP was a dud. It only moved 60 pips on eur/usd and came back just as quickly to break even. Really disappointing. I lost a little bit of money as a result of stops. Not much.
I have tightend the buy and sell stops to see if it can catch these smaller moves. I often find that is the case the with default settings.
going to try it out on the ozzie tonight.

Have any luck using this EA? I tried it this morning with the USD Unemployment Claims. It only moved about 25 pips, so I never turned a single profit. Lost 9 pips actually, due to stops. Will try again at 11am (EST) on crude oil, and 2 on the budget balance.

No hits on either. Prices didn't fluctuate enough to make a hit. Will try at 8:30AM today. Some major announcements happening. Will let you know how much I lose :)

Try tightening the first buy and sell stops to ten then decrease the steps accordingly. I have them saved on a template.
the default is twenty but I think it could be tightened to catch smaller spikes.
This doesnt catch trends very well. Just major spikes. The harder the spike the better it works.

Nice tip! I will give it a shot this coming week. Thanks!
