My Scalper has never started trading on my demo account, while Long Term is running all right. I am running FAPTURBO16. I am 100% sure that I set the parameters correctly as the manual says. Does anybody know why it is not wokring?

Who is your broker?
What is your GMT Offset?
What is the spread during the hours of 21:00 GMT - 3:00 GMT?
What pairs do you have the scalper on?
Do you see any entries in the journal or experts tab?
Do you see the scalper information printed on your chart(s)?
What are your scalper settings?
Are you using money management or fixed lot size?

I didn't have any trades at all last week and was certain I'd set the EA correctly. This weekend I found out that when I used the easy installer thingy I screwed up and ended up with another sub-folder called experts under the "proper" experts folder. I'm hoping that this will cure my problem but I doubt it's the same as yours if you are getting long-term trades. Just something to be aware of for people using the easy installer.

Me too. I'm really new to Forex and FAPTurbo. I turned on the turbo EA on Nov. 30 as soon as the market opened. I turned on the Long Strategy 1st. I also turned on Short Strategy on one pair: EURGBP. Almost immediately the Long strategy opened 5 trades within two hours. The Short strategy never ever opened any trades. Since all this is on my demo account with FXDD I manually closed all open Long Strategy trades and also closed long strategy chart of EURUSD completely. I opened up two more charts for short strategy: EURCHF & USDCAD. It's been more than 5 hours no trades has been opened on any of the three pairs. My demo account balance has $9000+. Could some experts here help me with my scenario? I emailed FAPTURBO site last Monday with questions (Dec. 1). I have yet to receive any kind of response. Here are my parameter settings:

Oh, I forgot to mention that I use MT4 on ForexMeta FXDD and FAPTurbo16.

A lot of people running Live accounts seemed to not get any trades last night either.

But the Scalper functions only work from 21:00GMT to 3:00 GMT. So if you are east coast, the scalps wouldn't start until 4pm from Sunday to Thursday (trade friday is false on yours, so you will not open scalps on friday)

So by the time I got home from work today, I had one profitable trade and one not so much profitable trade that is still open.

No, the magic number identifies to the MT4 who the trade was initiated by. It allows you to run multiple EA's on the same chart. But it is by EA, not by chart that the magic number belongs to.

Now I suddenly noticed a few trades done on my USDCAD chart with tiny profits achieved. Could it be that I need to do something with my account because my account balance is in US dollars. The other two pairs deal with currencies other than US Dollars. Anybody care to shed some light on this newbie? Thanks in advance!!

I could be wrong but I believe this lack of trades on Sunday is related to the fact that there is no historical data to confirm the range from due to the market being closed for the weekend. Tack that on to the fact that the market does not open until 22:00 GMT and that also removes one hour of possible trades along with the lack of historical data. I personally think it not trading on sunday is a wise move on the part of the developers as you often get a strong trend during the first 12-14 hours the market is open on the scalper pairs as everyone gets into their positions for the week to come.

The currency pairs you are trading should not have anything to do with the trades being opened. I am USD based and have traded all 3 pairs without an issue. If the trades are not being opened more than likely it is due to your broker, or at least that seems to be the common thread so far. IBFX and Alpari both work in demo and live accounts, I believe we have a couple of people on there with FXPRO live accounts as well who have reported good results.

What are your current spreads on the 4 pairs. The developers have stated that it will just flat refuse to trade if the spread distances are to high.

I was wondering the spread thing. I just checked a minute ago. Here are the spread at this moment on my three pairs:

EURGBP=4
EURCHF=5
USDCAD=6

I also noticed that on the FAPTurbo site FAQ area there's this question at the very bottom that's new. It clarifies that '4 or lower' is a requirement only for EURGBP. Other three pairs can have higher spreads. At least that's the impression I got from the answer. As far as I can see the requirements for EURGBP is met. There's no reason for NOT opening trades. Again thanks to Sooner. Your experience and expertise is much appreciated!

The only other suggestion I could make is to install another brokers demo and compare the charts side by side. My charts for IBFX are not really in tune with the charts for the FXPRO/ODL/Alpari demo accounts I have. Part of the reason I went with IBFX is that I could track my trades against those of the developers in near real time to see if they were "cooking the books" so to speak. The brokers I know that work are Alpari, FXPRO, and IBFX (I am live with IBFX).

ForexMeta works again, atleast for now, it is based on the FXDD feed.

musicag: I had no scalper trades for a few days with my demo account on Forexmeta, so here is what i tried and it worked:

reset your demo account, and reattach your FAPturbo EA to the charts:

EUR/GBP LRR: 20, EUR/CHF LRR: 10, USD/CAD LRR 1.5, GBP/CHF LRR: 10 - all M15 timed charts, and
Scalper_UseMM=true on all as well

make sure you're connected to the broker and the icon iis green (bottom right) and that your charts show the smiley face in the top right.

if that still doesn't work, then you might want to even try uninstalling and reinstalling all your demo MetaTrader 4 platforms, and doing the same with the EA setup (don't delete the original fapturbosetup.exe because if you purchased it before dec 2nd, because it is the "16" version which doesn't incorporate the crazy anti-piracy features of "20" which restricts to 1 live and 1 demo account)

You won't know for sure until 21:00 GMT tomorrow when the scalper should begin looking for trades. In my experience, so long as you have the smiley face, and the EA information is printed on the charts, you should be good to go. Check your settings and make sure they are right then wait patiently for another 15 hours :)

that's all i can think of right now. And oh yes, obviously watch all the tutorial videos in the members area of fapturbo.com, and read the entire fapturbo guidebook. Those are the first things anyoen should do.

I spent 3 days trying to trade with FAPTurbo16 last week and it never executed a Scalper trade. I switched to FAPTurbo19 over the weekend and had 8 trades on just 2 pairs last night. I turned the MM off and used fixed lots because of the MM function bug.
