View Full Version : are you scalping all 4 pairs?
Hey guys, I started off live last night scalping all 4 pairs. I notice the usd/cad went into a little drawdown, but ended up taking a nice profit in the end. Are you guys running all 4 pairs?
Thanks,
Jer

Spread is the key if you want to win in forex market especially if you're scalping.
For that reason, I'm running just three pairs. I've excluded Gbp/Chf since it's spread is 4.

I opt out of USDCAD because it had a poor showing in all of my backtests.
I don't mind the high spread of GBPCHF because it has a much higher trading range (in the form of price elasticity) with consistent stationarity) than say... EURCHF. GBP pairs are usually more volatile.
To me, stationarity + high trading range during quiet hours + low spread = fapturbo scalp success.

You can using all four pairs. You can look at FapTurbo home page and see all the live account page. You will see all the four pairs.
Also, I have use four pairs in InterbankFX and I dont have any problem with that. Only one Eur/CHF have one big loss. That was it. It seem that USD/CAD is working and making a profit but it make only few trades per night. (It still make profits). Also no loss on this one so far! If you see USD/CAD make a big drawdown while trading, then it will come back and make some profit. That is normal really.
Hope it all help you ok...

Hi I agree with you on the spread. I am live with Alpari US and the spread on Gbp/Chf is 10. Also just like clock work at 4 pm est. they increase the spread on the Eur/Gbp from 3 to 5. When i called them on it they said the banks they deal with do it them so they have to raise the spread to us, right. So because of that i am left with Eur/Chf which has a 3 pip spread and is doing very well. I am not allowed to trade the Usd/Cad because i am on a mini acct. I am looking for a new broker can you help me out....Who do you trade with??? Richard

With IBFX I dropped the GBPCHF and USDCAD due to the spreads becoming downright lethal, now the spreads on the other two are sometimes as high as 20 so I am looking at moving off of IBFX. If your spread on EURGBP is 3-4 you can work with a 8-12 point spread on GBPCHF, you just don't want the spreads to double during your trading time. If this is happening, begin looking for another broker.

@ Grandaevus....You are correct that the spread is the key but it is no different because the spread will go high during in the evening (UK time). It is more likely to do with the less liquidate on the forex and it will cause the spread go high. All the forex brokers are the same anyway.

USD/CAD isn't exactly the best of pairs for FAPT so unless unless you have fairly large account, I'll suggest you discard it for now and concentrate on the other 3
