Did it happen because of growing number of people using FAP Scalper? Is it possible that FXDD will lower this spread or it will stay like that for a loong time.

I emailed FXDD and they replied:
The Spread is widening due to market volatility

I asked them again on whether they would change back, they replied:
The spread will jump around due to market volatility interest rates.

I doubt that the widening spread is from FAPS scalpers. We don't trade in large enough lots here to really influence the market. It's the huge banks and multi billion dollar businesses that will cause volatility in the market. Especially with all the economic turmoil l news that has been coming out lately.
