Q: How do I set up the Greenwich meantime offset?

A: When your broker is actively open go to your platform and find the current chart time. (the time the current price is.)

Go to http://greenwichmeantime.com and find greenwich meantime

Subtract the lower time from the higher time.(use military time) Hightime-lowtime=GMT offset)

Make sure you check the date and adjust accordingly.

Round to the nearest hour.

This is your GMT offset number.

Put this number in your GMT offset input in scalper settings.

But I found another site with a broker filter to narrow down your choices

Q: How much risk should I take using fap turbo?
Is there a formula for money mangement?

A: The formula for fixed lot,
Low risk : initial deposit > 780 pips of total lots trade
Medium risk : initial deposit > 400 pips
High risk : Initial Deposit > 300 pips
The lot number can be increased gradually once the account increase, but stick to one of the formula as above.

The formula for auto lot management,
Low risk : LRR=1; max order= 1 or 2;
Medium risk:
1. LRR = 1; max order = 3 to 5
2. LRR = 2; max order = 1 to 3
3. LRR = 3; max order = 1 to 2
High Risk: LRR = 3 ; max order = 3 to 5
Suggest not to put LRR more than 3%, which is very volatile and will easily blow out the account.

(special thanks to oowee)

^eagle^ I think it woudl be a great idea if you incorporated all your other faq posts into the first one, that way a newbie can have it all in one easy to read post. Hmm, or if you wish I can make a special forum subsection jsut for your FAQ

Thanks btw for the effort, no doubt fapturbo newbies will be singing your praises

^eagle^ are you sure it's always Htime - Ltime ? According to the instruction video it's rather BrokerTime - GMT. If that's true GMT offset for all brokers using US time zones would be negative - i.e. for EST that would be -5 ?

Eagle is right. My broker time is 19:20 right now and that matches the GMT time, so my offset is 0. Do what he says and your GMT offset will be correct.

The number is always positive. Never negative. that is why you have to check your date too.

GMT is the end of time soto speak basically you always subtract GMT from the platform time but If the date is different you have to take that into account.

This will vary depending on what time it is.

ok so my broker shows now 16:00 and GMT is 21:00 and date is the same so offset is 5 ? Or perhaps 5 modulo 24 = 19 ? Sorry for lame question but I'm still not sure I understood. Thanks.
