millions of questions on how this could work and more of less from what i understand about ECNs how thisis possible but it looks very promising...then again fapt has shown me i dont count my chickens before 6 months of backtesting egg quality so we will see, thoughts?

i don't know why they are so excited and call it "first ECN MT4 open for FAPT". some people are trading fapturbo on other ECN brokers (like Fastbrokers, Broco, PFG) for awhile. and some of these brokers are regulated by NFA where fxcbs is not regulated in US or UK.

You are wrong Mike. FxCBS is down the street from the Chicago Board of Trade. Not regulated is a crock of shit. NFA building right down the street from them. This time it will not be the broker...it will be FAPT that is responsible for losses. They are a lot of brokers that claim they are ECN and are not. Due you due diligence. I have not fully investigated them...but on the surface they seem solid....and one of the few Fx brokers that actually have segregated accounts. If they are true ECN they will most of the time be no more than 2 pips on both Euro/GBP and Euro/CHF. Commissions will be 8 bucks....and a real ECN is currenex with institutional pricing where banks and corp get better spread (or no spread).

heh i noticed that their normal "dealing desk" account does not allow scalping or EA's. does this mean they are honest in the sense that dealing desks dont want EA's and the ones that allow them work to fight them for the most part, or........... shady signs that this is a publicity stunt to sap money from 30,000 people before they crash and burn. schindawg has had amazing results with an ECN broker but this broker with what its perposing it either a dirty dirty falsehood or a very appealing offer to the FAPT community, so........... whos gonna be the brave pioneer to get a month of amazing results and then see what really happens?

I am demo'ing with FXCBS right now .. Their spreads were up to 5 pips right now. Honestly, their spreads aren't any better than FXCM .. oh, and they charge a commission too.. I am trading 0.3 lots with $2.4 commision.

Someone please tell me how is this a good thing? (comparing to FXCM)

I'm on demo too and have you noticed how the spread varies wildly. I turned on FAPT scalper early just to see what it would do and as the trade was coming into profit the spread was widening up to 8 pips. This was a sell and the bid price went way past the take profit point 2 or 3 times, but just at that point the spread was 8 pips. The trade came good in the end as the price action slowed down. So it seems that in the calmer Asian session the spread may not widen so much. I'm looking forward to 9pm to see what happens.

Champ, the big difference is that you don't have a dealing desk playing against you, and trying to make you lose.

another major appeal is it allows people to step into ECN at 2000 instead of 10,000. that's fairly significant from what i understand

ok, iv always i assumed i know this as a common duh but i want to double check right now... if you have someone unlike alpari uk and the spreads dance around through the night, if the bot enters in at a low spread and then the spread goes up, does this directly or indirectly effect the trade you already placed with a lower spread?

yea, i saw the spread go up to 8

i will get a screenshot next time!

how can one tell if the broker is genuinely ECN? 2 to 8 pip in a few seconds is fishy.. tells me that someone is after my profits?
