Hi all,

Been trading on an ODL demo account for past couple of weeks with old version of Fapsturbo. Am setting up live account later today. Can anyone advise whether I should simply install new version from Fapsturbo site as directed on member site or delete all previous versions of Fapsturbo, MT4 etc from my laptop and start from scratch to prevent any conflicts? Thanks

Better to install the new version FapTurbo23 since the old one'll expire soon.

You don't need to uninstall metatrader. Just close the charts then metatrader. Delete the old FAPT files (ex4, dll) and copy the new files. Start your metatrader. Setup the charts again.

That's all.

fapturbo.ex4 is in yourmt4folder/experts/
fapturbo.DLL is in yourmt4folder/experts/libraries/

If you take a look at the DLL itself between version 16 and Version 23 they should have the exact same last modified date. In my experience you don't need to uninstall anything simply place the updated EA in the required folders and restart MT4. If you delete your old version you run the risk of allowing a bug in the new version to stop your ability for the EA to trade.

I currently have 16,20, and 23 at my disposal in MT4 and they all work dandy.

Alfonzo, can you do me ( and everyone here) a small favor. Can you keep an eye out for any "funny business" ODL may attempt on your account. I've been thinking of opening an account with them due to the tight spreds...until I get to over 10K then I'm moving to an ECN broker, but anyways, we would appreciate it if you kept us up-to-date on your ODL account performance and any odd issues you may encounter.

Hi Sooner

I have a couple of questions, I have been away on holiday and all this new registration process is new to me
Firstly I downloaded the new version 23 and did as you said, just installed the EA into the expert folder and left the DLL as is,even though the modified dates were different. The new EA seems to load ok on a chart with the new demo activation code and my old version 16 still seems to load ok with the old activation code. Is This correct ??
Secondly it occured to me that why shouldn't I just run the new FAPT23 on a real account with the demo activation key, how does it know the difference ?
?, it's the same program isn't it ?
How do the FAPT people or the program know if it is a live account or a real one unless you tell them by typing something in the box for real accounts ?
Please tell me what i'm missing here.
Also what happened to this one off lifetime payment, ? say I want to switch
brokers, I Have to buy again ??

That's what the dll is there for, they know what's live and what's demo, and they know
which key is for demo and which is for live, the robot contacts the fapturbo server every
time you load it or load the mt4 software, or change anything.
So yeah, it does know. And no, v16 and v23 are not exactly the same, they allow now
for unlimited demo accounts. So that's better than v16. They also fixed some stuff in there.
