mt 4 always online?

The question for al lot of people i think. When i have i live account, mt 4, must i have my computer running for 24/5 ? And if not, how will fap turbo make money for you if you start up your computer, the programm, twice... a day?
I have heard of a vps server, but is the money you spend on that per month in line with the money you earn with fap turbo?

Suggestions for a broker?

Some questions from a newie...

In order for FAP turbo to trade, your computer must be turned on. The MT4 (including any TP and SL you have) will continue to run without your computer as they are run on the server side at your broker, so any open trades will continue to run with the market. Therefore if you want any EA to trade for you, the computer on which it is installed must be running. If you only turn on your computer twice a day, then the EA will only trade in those periods, and then only if it finds a point where its algorithms feel it should while it is on.

A vps server will set you back around $69 a month. Whether or not this is worth it to you depends on your historical trading figures, your trust in FAP turbo, and the size of your account. It can only be a personal decision.

Mt4 must be running the hole day. Will it works in 'sleepng mode' from vista, maybe?

I leave my vista computer on, not too sure if it goes into sleep mode, but it turns off my monitors automatically. Probably worth checking your power settings to see if the hard drive is turned off.

No it won't...nothing will run in sleep mode...that's the whole point of it if I'm not mistaken.

Alan's right, if Vista is in sleep mode your computer is in a suspended state. Your programs will retain in memory but nothing will get executed. You can adjust your power settings to turn your screen and stuff off but still keep FAPS working.

You can get a more cheaper vps from some other places like swvps.com and vpsland.com but you have to set up the mt4 and all that by yourself.

Hmm, I never tried their services..have you? How would you rate vpsland for example?

Personally I'm with a company called Commercial Network Services So far they met my needs and have no cause to complain. I should note that they're a VPS provider that caters to forex traders. Another popular one that I heard of is ForexVPS.com. But this one I haven't tried yet so I can't comment much.

Compared to the vps providers you mentioned, both of the ones that I mentioned ask a higher price for their services but then again they offer more features - especially certain trader orientated ones. CNS for example offers subscription EAs you can use directly from your account.

If anyone else finds a cheaper full featured VPS provider please do tell us by starting a thread over here:

Thanks for sharing alan.

I'm with swvps and so far they have quite satisfied performance. The only issue is that they are just plain windows vps and you have to do all the set up by yourself so this is not really recommended for a computer noob.
