Rachael... if Delonas had placed a humorous statement instead of the one we all saw and read, it may have only ticked off the animal activists and some smaller factions. In any event, it certainly would not have created the turmoil it has. I think this is going to mushroom in one way or another as an apology by the Post, ... just dosen't cut it!

IMHO this is just a beat up by an overly sensative media. Satirists and the larger Left Blogosphere were refering to Bush as a monkey for years. Even if this article WAS a slant at The Chosen One (Not that I think it is...), who cares? Lets just move along.

I agree. What is it with the overly touchy media? It seems these days you can't ever say what's on your mind for fear of being misunderstood or misinterpreted. Yeah I'm with you, let's just move on.
