Default NFP Week

Jan 9th is the day... I'm going to run it on Tuesday the 6th at 10am, we'll see... Only one chart instead of four this time... LOL...

It looks like Wed and Thurs have opportunity as well, should be an exciting week!

WASHINGTON, Jan 5 (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Barack Obama said on Monday he expected 'sobering' unemployment figures at the end of this week as he went to Capitol Hill to campaign for his economic stimulus package.

'The reason we're here today is because the people's business can't wait,' Obama told reporters at a photo opportunity with House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi. 'We've got an extraordinary economic challenge ahead of us, we're expecting a sobering job report at the end of the week.'

The Labor Department will release its December employment report on Friday at 8:30 a.m. (1330 GMT). According to a Reuters poll, economists are expecting payroll jobs to drop 500,000, bringing job losses for all 2008 to about 2.5 million.
Am I right in my asumption that the USD might loose quite a bit of ground?

Unemployment is currently at 6.7%, the forecast is at 7%
Avarage hourly earnings at 0.4%, forecast is at 0.2%

I am quite keen to trade this however I've never done this live

I'd wager that the USD will not lose a lot of ground. Why do I say that? Well, simply because the EURO is starting to faulter as well due to increasingly bad economic data.

Also pay close attention to the new economic stimulus package proposed by President Elect Barack Obama.
