I've read various terms being used on this forum, some people are trying out FAP, others say FAPS worked great for them and then ofcourse there is the fap-turbo.

Some people say that fap-turbo is a derivative of FAP.

I was hoping if someone could shed some light and give a brief history on these, so that these would be much clearer to me and to other newbies.

FAP and FAPS are the same thing. There is another system not discussed here called FAPS but I do not think anyone here is using it.

Fap turbo is a new EA that just came out. It is a combination of an enhanced version of FAP and a scalping EA.

people tend to call them differnet things.

I differentiate between FAP turbo and the scalper because I only use the scalper even though they are built together on the same program.

so...

FAP and FAPS= original Forex auto pilot
fapturbo= enhanced version of FAP
Scalper= second part of FAP turbo. ( Also reffered to as fapturbo)

There are thousands of different EAs out there but these are the most popular right now.

How do these compare with the ones that are running in the MQL4 championship this year. It seems those EAs are far better than fapturbo even?

hmm unfortunately you will never see the championship winner EA over the net for sale. they are to good to going to the public
Anyway i found the 3° and 11° EA's from championchip2006
The problem is if i attache it i get an message un Russian language that i do not understand. So i am not able to use/test.

Seems a Russian translator would be worth the money :-) Where did you get the EA? I hope to use one of these programs but I can't figure out what the best program is and when NOT to use it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Do these programs work? Can I open an account with say FAPS for $500.00 and make a little money?

I tried with the translation service suggested in that thread but no it doen't translate that stuff in the readme file.
The message that comes up when attache the EA to a chart may be that it is expired.
Any help would be appreciated
