Up until now, Megadroid has been performing great, but it suffered a large loss last night - I lost 69.2 pips on one trade and 32.9 on another. These were on my live Alpari (UK) Account. I have checked the live account link from the FAPTurboGuide blog and those guys seem to have suffered similar losses on their live account.

Has anyone else had the same experience, and if so can anyone suggest why the losses both occurred on one night? I upgraded my MT4 version to 244 the night before - I'm hoping that's just a coincidence!!!

One thing that concerns me is the large 69.2 pip loss - I was under the impression the SL was around 40 pips.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Douglas, do you have any insights?

yep, the first losing trade (-6.9%) last night for me also. total up 30% which is not bad, imho.

I only got one loss because only trade system 1 and system 2 is disabled: aggressive = false.

Very wise - the aggressive settings are a bit scary - they're what caused the big loss!!! I'm going back to test for a few days next week and then we'll see - there's a Bank Holiday in the UK on Monday which always adds an extra dimension so I'm staying out.

This happened to any EA. The best is not to trade during major news announcement. Manually stop the EA will help.

Isn't there a manual setting for that like FAPT 47?

nope. fapturbo uses fixed stops for each pair. where stops in Megadroid are dynamic and based on lowest low / highest high depending on trade direction.

Oh man..tht sucks. There should be like a manual protection stop loss over the dynamic one. Just in case the lowest low was about -90 pips in the drink.

no, dynamic SL doesn't look like a problem to me. because MegaDroid has a better money management than fapturbo.

In MD any stop loss (being it 30 or 150 pips) will result to the same loss in account balance defined by RiskLevel.
